Wild and Wacky Animal Writing Contest
Deadline: March 9th, 2012 PST 5PM

Contest rules and prizes
The writers will need to:
1. In 250-300 words, write a funny and/or a crazy story about an animal encounter you have experienced; whether it be a wild animal or your house pet.
2. Post the essay to your blog, a friends blog or website and then email that link by March 9th, 2012 to folk@folkheartpress.com
3. Entries will be limited to the first 10 writers to send their link.
4. Readers will vote for favorite essay between March 10th-16th.
5. The essay with the most votes wins.
6. Winner will be notified of results by email on March 19th.

• The winner will be publicly announced on the FolkHeart Press Blog on March 19th, 2012 & will:
• Be a guest blogger on the FolkHeart Press blog
• Be mentioned in FolkHeart Press April e-newsletter w/link to essay post
• Receive the book Moose Mash and Other Stories by Mary Cone Hitchcock
• Have a Q&A on the Teresa Morrow website
• Be mentioned on Twitter & Facebook
